 ties and the Community Policing unit in Shannon Garda Station\, is re-laun
 ching a Business Watch scheme in Shannon.\n\nThis crime prevention program
 me\, designed by An Garda Siochana\, is similar to the Neighbourhood Watch
  and Community Alert scheme\, whereby the Gardai and the community come to
 gether to prevent and reduce crime\; in this instance\, the Business Watch
  scheme's focus is the business community in the wider Shannon area.\n\nBu
 siness Watch Shannon will provide a framework to enable the business commu
 nity to join together and be instrumental in preventing crime in our commu
 nity. Through awareness and observation\, businesses can become extra 'eye
 s and ears' of the Gardai and act as 'Watchmen' to their own and neighbour
 ing premises in the prevention of crime.\nShannon Chamber is delighted to
